A fierce fidelity can be inspired by Sichuan cuisine, which lands on the unsuspecting tongue like the fierce kiss of a lover, leaving one in thrall to its numbing yet delightful fervour and possibly besotted for eternity.
From now till 31 May 2019, “A Tale of Twin Baby Lobsters” (双龙出海) debuts at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant, presenting unlimited servings of baby lobsters that glisten as seductively as gold leaves in the romantic lighting and taste just as enthralling as its beautiful aesthetics. In addition, the menu also presents a repertoire of 40 other tantalising Sichuan and Cantonese dishes, indulging chilli devotees while defying preconceived notions of traditional Sichuan cuisine.

Available only at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant at TOP of UOB Plaza and PARKROYAL on Beach Road, menus at both outlets differ to offer diners a greater variety of inventive dishes. Guests who dine at one outlet will enjoy 30% savings when they dine at the second outlet.

The highlights of the best Sichuan buffet in town are the unique one-time order dishes. At TOP of UOB Plaza, the classic lobster roll engages the palate with an enticing ma la spin. A footlong deep-fried crispy “Man Tou” envelops flavourful stir-fried Baby Lobster in Preserved Wild Chilli (川椒辣酱小龙虾馒头), exciting the tongue with its spicy homemade sauce. Tingling, slightly numbing but surely unforgettable.

Over at PARKROYAL on Beach Road, Executive Sichuan Chef Zeng Feng serves up Crispy Noodles with Baby Lobster (浓汁小龙虾脆面), pairing the succulent crustacean with Sheng Mian deep-fried to a crispy perfection, accompanied with flavourful broth that has been boiled down for hours with
lobster shells.

Apart from the one-time orders, unlimited servings of luscious baby lobsters are available in 10 different Sichuan styles across the two outlets, including the irresistible Stir-fried Baby Lobster with Fragrant Sichuan Spicy Sauce (香锅小龙虾) and Sautéed Baby Lobster with Dried Chilli (糊辣小龙虾) , creating a delicious introduction to the pleasures of Sichuan cuisine.

Accompanying the seafood feast are 40 other classic Sichuan and Cantonese dishes, such as Sliced Pork with Minced Garlic and Chilli Sauce (蒜泥白肉) and “Chong Qing” Diced Chicken (重庆辣子鸡) that promise to turn the uninitiated into immediate converts.

With a minimum of two adults to dine, “A Tale of Twin Baby Lobsters” is available from now till 31 May 2019 at the following prices: Dinner from Monday to Thursday at $78 per adult, lunch on Saturday and Sunday and Dinner from Friday to Sunday at $88 per adult.
