One Farrer Hotel & Spa x Da Paolo Group’s Six-Course Italian Menu

The homegrown Italian brand is collaborating with One Farrer to bring guests a scrumptious feast every Friday from now till 29th December 2017.

Searching for dinner deals on Friday nights just got a whole lot easier with the advent of the pop-up dining collaboration between One Farrer Hotel & Spa and Da Paolo Group. Located in the idyllic Farrer Park district, the former is known for its ‘Hotels within a Hotel’ concept – that’s right, there are three distinct hotels within the enclave. Named Urban Hotel, Loft Apartments, and Skyline Hotel & Sky Villas, these hotels contribute to the ‘Total Lifestyle Environment’ of the One Farrer compound, spanning 14 gardens over 20 floors, a fully functioning organic farm and water park.

The Da Paolo Group, meanwhile, has become beloved to Singaporeans over the years for its honest, uncomplicated Italian fare across its various concepts – Gastronomia, Pizza Bar and Italian Bar. This month, the two brands have joined hands to produce a pop-up dining concept that offers guests a six-course menu priced at $75.

Start your meal with an antipasto of the Chef’s choice, before delving into one of the starters available – a juicy-fresh Grilled Lobster Salad complete with avocado, black olive soil and a pommery mustard dressing which provides an added kick to the dish with its rich, nutty flavour.

Next, choose from one of their several pasta options – the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese should prove to be a popular choice, given that it’s one of the signature pastas of Bologna. It is a homemade egg pasta tossed with beef ragout, simmered in red wine and tomatoes.

Mains on offer include the Pan Seared Barramundi served with pumpkin carpaccio, but if you’re looking for something more substantial, the Baked Chicken Roulade should satisfy with its fragrant truffle risotto, forest berry red wine jus and confit cherry tomatoes.

Finally, end your meal on the perfect indulgence, because who doesn’t love a good tiramisu? In fact, Da Paolo’s tiramisu is so in-demand that they’re sold in ready-to-eat portions at Gastronomia and have made it to numerous ‘Best Tiramisus in Singapore’ lists on the interwebs.

The last course is an ‘After Sweets’ course comprising a cheese platter, dried fruits toast and condiments – a course to be enjoyed slowly as you luxuriate in the vacation-like atmosphere of One Farrer. It’s an amazing way to spend your Friday night, secluded from the overwhelming bustle of city life.

One Farrer and Da Paolo’s pop-up dining concept is available every Friday, 6pm to 10pm (last order 9.30pm) till 29 December 2017, and is located at Level 6 Lifestyle Podium, with seating available in the air-conditioned poolside restaurant or sheltered alfresco dining at the Hawaiian-inspired Sunset Bar.
