Think desserts like durian pengat (durian paste prepared with coconut milk, sugar and pandan), waffles, cupcakes, crumble and even gelato made using the prized D24. For those who prefer the savouries (but still love the thorny, pungent fruit), there’s also durian prawns and an unexpected-but-delicious durian fried rice with bacon where the fruit’s pungency and light sweetness is well-complemented with smoky, savoury cured meat.
