With Father’s Day nearing as quickly as a speeding train, why not buy Dad a hearty, sumptuous meal instead of thinking of a gift to get? Or why not do both, because our Dads deserve it! SALT brings to you an array of buffet options that cover brunch, lunch and dinner. There’s a time and place for everyone to celebrate Ol’ Pops next Sunday!

Sunday brunch just got a whole lot better with a free Michelin-starred experience specially for Dad. With every group of 4 paying diners, treat Dad to a complimentary brunch buffet of North Indian delights. And not just that, if brunch is too early (1st seating at 11.30am, 2nd seating at 1.30pm), The Song of India lets you celebrate Dad with a 4-course dinner from 6pm to 11pm with the same offer.

Brunch ($46.90++) spotlights the delicacies of Kashmiri and Lucknow. Savour the taste and fluffy and light basmati rice in the Lucknowi Chicken Briyani and the like. Vegetarians fret not, we all know North Indians love their vegetables; pick the signature Kashmiri Lotus Root Korma, served in a thick, creamy curry. Dinner ($79++) boasts signatures like the Chicken Spinach Roulade featuring the well-loved cottage cheese – a common sight in North Indian dishes – and the ever-succulent Hyderabadi Lamb Shish Kebab. They are sure to leave you wanting more… if not for leaving some space for the 1-for-1 drinks promotion at Amrith, just outside the restaurant proper, in the outdoor gardens. The 1-for-1 drinks promotion extends to a variety of select bespoke cocktails, mocktails and beers. If you have a love for North Indian food, you wouldn’t want to miss out on this offer!

Father’s Day deals are only available on Sunday, 16 June 2019.

Head down to Ellenborough Market Café at the Swissôtel Merchant Court this Father’s Day and pamper Pops with mouthwatering Peranakan & International buffet lunch or Crab-ilicious buffet dinner. As long as you’re a father, you get to enjoy a complimentary serving of Double-boiled Abalone, Scallop, Mushroom, Sea Cucumber and Chicken Soup. Yum!

Lunch (Adult: $52++; Child: $26++) features a Seafood on Ice special with the popular cast of popular seafood options, including sushi and sashimi from the Japanese station. Peranakan favourites such as Kueh Pie Tee and Ayam Buak Keluak return to the fray among some local delicacies (think Gado Gado and Beef Rendang) as well, so be sure to keep a lookout! Of course, desserts are a must, so look forward to some old-school Muah Chee and Nyonya Kueh at the dessert table.

Crabs. Crabs in all tastes! Chilli, Salted Egg, Thai Yellow Curry, Black Pepper, Szechuan Spice, even Sambal! Our favourite crustacean friend makes a comeback with its own feature in the Crab-ilicious Dinner Buffet (Adult: $78++; Child: $39++). Dinner features most of the Lunch menu in addition to the crab galore, but shout-out to the Deep-fried Durian Balling (glutinous rice balls), because a King can only be greeted by another King.

Our favourite family emperor deserves, minimally, a warm, hearty meal. But Singapore Marriot Tang Plaza Hotel can offer more. With two dining venues to choose from, the hotel promises gastro-satisfaction to Papa and the family.

Marriott Café

Appropriately dubbed The King’s Buffets, Marriot Café presents two buffet sets at lunch and high tea for your choosing. The Father’s Day Lunch Buffet from 12.30pm to 2.30pm (Adult: $88++/$98++*; Child: $44++) promises to satisfy all cravings and deliver undisputed levels of gastronomic bliss.

*For just $10 more, the buffet comes inclusive of free flow of sparkling, red and white wine, beer, and juices.

Seafood lovers rejoice! Freshly shucked oysters, Snow Crab legs, Boston Lobsters and more await you at the buffet table. Get a thrill from the grill where you can find cooked dishes such as Oyster Florentine, Lobster Thermidore and Grilled Crayfish Chimichurri. Not for seafood? Landlubbers are not forgotten with the slow-cooked Coffee Spiced Brisket with Chimichurri, Grilled Rosemary Lamb Chops with Red Pepper Sauce, or if you fancy something heavier, chow down on the crunchy and juicy Roast Pork Saddle with Prunes and Pancetta, and Roast Prime Ribs of Beef. These are but a small teaser-number of dishes offered. Indulge in some Singapore signatures and favourites from Laksa to Chilli Crab. Pork, duck, chicken, you name it! After the mains, choose from a wade array of desserts. Didn’t we say “all cravings” and “gastronomic bliss”?

The Father’s Day High Tea Buffet, while not as extensive as its lunch counterpart, offers more lightweight delicacies to tantalise your taste buds (and Dad’s, too). Expect to see fresh seafood, Satay, Rendang and Sambal Stingray, to name but a few! More desserts are available as well. The Father’s Day High Tea Buffet starts at 3pm, up to 5.30pm; Adults dine at $48++, Children at $30++. Both buffets only available on Father’s Day, 16 June 2019.

Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant

On 15 and 16 June, choose from 2 expertly curated menus of fine Cantonese masterpieces in an Oriental oasis of charm coupled with excellent service. Daddy Dearest is going to feel like an emperor at Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant. Some highlights of the menu include the braised 5-head Abalone with King Oyster Mushroom and Broccoli and Double-boiled Fish Maw. Menu I is priced at $88++/person with a minimum of 2 persons and Menu II goes at $108++/person with a minimum of 8 persons but both menus promise a sumptuous feast fit for an emperor for the first taste to the last.
