Margaret River On Tour (8-12 Oct)
Expect tipples, and all manners of gourmet delights from what is probably Western Australia’s most renowned winemaking region, Margaret River, as over 30 producers and distributors come together at this event. Highlights include the star showcase, Seasons On The Hill, held at the picturesque Tamarind Hill restaurant on 11 Oct. Meet winemakers, and taste wines from established labels, small cult wineries and everything else in-between. Names include Vasse Felix, Cullen Wines, and L.A.S Vino. There’ll also be treats from Margaret River Nougat Company and Bahen & Co. Chocolate, as well as food by Western Australian chefs Evan Hayter (Arimia) and Tony Howell (Cape Lodge). Other happenings under Margaret River On Tour include a wine masterclass at Monti on 8 Oct; and a 7-course Chardonnay-pairing dinner at modern French restaurant Gunther’s on 9 Oct.

Maison Champagne Jeeper Masterclass (12-13 Oct)
To mark their entry to Singapore, Champagne Jeeper will be holding masterclasses and tasting sessions at So France. Brand representative Samuel Ferjou will be in Singapore to share about the Champagne house’s story. Each masterclass will feature a short presentation, and a four-course tapas meal curated by So France’s executive chef Felicien Cueff. Dishes include trout tartare with avocado cream and red radish, and air-dried duck magret saucisson with ginger-onion marmalade on brioche toast; each served with a different Champagne from Jeeper. $99 per person for masterclass.

1855 Whisky & Wine Week (31 Oct-11 Nov)
Explore over 500 wine and whisky labels, and taste (for free!) over 100 of them at this bi-annual blowout of booze. This year, expect the debut of the exclusive Auchentoshan 30 Years Old Sherry Cask; as well as a Coravin (a wine preservation system that allows you to dispense wine without removing the cork, while preventing oxygen from entering the bottle) Tasting Bar that will be stocking some very highly-rated wines, all available by the glass. Looking for a bit of education? Masterclasses available include a vertical tasting of Chateau Pouget (a Margaux, growth-classified winery), with director Olivier Salques. Free admission.

It’s back! The wine festival named after a music festival, named after the word that means “an extraordinary or unusual thing, person, or event; an exceptional example or instance” is making its way from Australia to Singapore for its second run. After a massively successful debut, this year will see over a 100 of the best Pinot Noirs–one of the most versatile wines–from around the world available for sampling. There’ll also be appearances from winemakers; a vermouth bar by the drink maestros behind EC Proof; casual wine discussions; pinot-food pairings by BBQ specialists Meat Smith, and guest DJs keeping things on a high.
